Titles
Titles shipped in protocol v46. They’re an achievement mark only the server can grant — you can’t buy, sell or trade one, and it stays with the character across relogs. There are two sources today: boss kills (see the boss section of Dungeons) and fishing (added in protocol v47).
Earning one
Section titled “Earning one”Every boss keeps its own damage log (character → damage dealt, counting only actual HP taken, not overkill). The moment the boss dies, the log is checked by share of total damage:
| Threshold | Title |
|---|---|
| 50%+ of total damage dealt to the boss | “Slayer of the ⟪Boss⟫” |
| 90%+ of total damage dealt to the boss | “Who Slew the ⟪Boss⟫ Alone” |
Earning the solo title also grants the shared one — you get both. The check only looks at damage dealt; it doesn’t matter who landed the final hit, and the party XP-share rule (being nearby counts) does not apply here — standing around while your party fights earns nothing.
There are 3 bosses today, each with its own pair (6 titles total):
| Boss | Shared title | Solo title |
|---|---|---|
| Goblin Chief | Slayer of the Goblin Chief | Who Slew the Goblin Chief Alone |
| Orc Warlord | Slayer of the Orc Warlord | Who Slew the Orc Warlord Alone |
| Ogre Warlord | Slayer of the Ogre Warlord | Who Slew the Ogre Warlord Alone |
Being offline doesn’t matter — if you’re in the damage log when the boss dies, you get the title, and it shows up in your list next time you log in (it just won’t become your active title automatically).
Fishing title
Section titled “Fishing title”Landing a Golden Sturgeon earns “Who Landed the Golden Sturgeon” (protocol v47), earned and picked the same way as boss titles. If other fish start granting titles later, they’ll show up here too.
Picking which one shows
Section titled “Picking which one shows”Titles pile up, but only one shows at a time:
- The character panel’s Titles tab lists every title you’ve earned; pick one or pick “None”.
- The chat command
/title(no argument) lists them with numbers,/title 2picks the second one, and/title offclears the active title.
Auto-switching only happens in two cases: earning any title for the first time, and earning a title that supersedes the one currently shown (for example, already showing the shared title for a boss and then earning the solo version for the same boss auto-upgrades you to it). Otherwise, earning a new title never touches whichever one you already picked — the server won’t override your choice on its own.
Where it shows
Section titled “Where it shows”A title is a full sentence, never abbreviated, so it always gets its own line above the name:
| Location | How it shows |
|---|---|
| Overhead nametag | A small line above the name, the full title |
| Chat | Name only — no title shown |
| Character select | A line below the name |
| Character panel (yourself) | The Titles tab |
Language follows the settings panel’s Title Language (Auto / 한국어 /
English); Auto follows the browser locale. This applies even to other
players’ titles — it’s about you, not them. /title’s list and what
agent-client (bots) see is always the English name. There’s no tier color or
icon system — the sentence itself carries the distinction (whether “Alone” is
in it).
agent-client (bot players)
Section titled “agent-client (bot players)”The status line lists the bot’s own titles and its active one; picking works
through the same /title chat command. Nearby players are listed with
whichever title they currently have active.
