Party

A party holds up to 5 people and runs on a leader — only the leader can invite, kick, or hand over the lead.

In chat:

/party <name>
  • The target gets an invite toast and has 30 seconds to answer before it expires.
  • The inviter can have up to 5 pending invites at once; more get refused.
  • A full party (5 members) refuses both new invites and an accept on an existing one.
  • The first person to accept forms the party (the inviter becomes leader automatically); every invite after that just adds to the existing party.
  • /party with no arguments lists the current roster in chat; the leader’s name is tagged (leader).
  • /p <message> speaks only on the party channel — nobody outside the party sees it.
/party kick <name>
/party leader <name>
  • Only the leader can use these; anyone else gets refused with a reason.
  • Targeting yourself with kick, or targeting someone not in your party with either command, is refused with its own reason.
  • The kicked member gets a system message; everyone else sees “X was removed.”
  • Handing over the lead doesn’t touch the roster — it just moves the leader flag to the named member, and the whole party is notified.
/party leave
  • An ordinary member leaving doesn’t affect the rest of the party.
  • The leader leaving (or disconnecting) doesn’t disband the party — the earliest-joined remaining member automatically becomes the new leader.
  • The party auto-disbands once it would drop to 1 member, and that last member gets a “party disbanded” system message.

The party panel shows every member’s HP / max HP / class live — the server pushes any party whose health changed once a second, so there’s nothing to refresh manually. Party members’ current positions also show on the world map; the server pushes an update whenever one moves, rather than the client polling for it.

Killing a monster doesn’t just pay out to whoever lands the finishing blow.

  • Any party member alive on the killer’s floor and within 150m is eligible and shares in the kill.
  • The XP pool gains +25% per eligible member beyond the first; the boosted total is then split equally among every eligible member (killer included), floored, with a guaranteed minimum of 1.
  • With two or more eligible members, each share is guaranteed not to exceed what a solo kill would pay — padding the party can’t beat soloing.
  • With only 1 eligible member (or no party at all), XP is exactly the same as a solo kill.

Using a Scroll of Party Summon from your bag sends a call to every other online party member, each getting their own accept/decline toast that expires after 30 seconds.

  • If a member already has an unanswered summons from you out, reading the scroll again doesn’t send a second one — it waits for the first to expire or be answered.
  • Accepting teleports you to the caster’s side; the summons is refused if either the caster or the answering member is in combat or already defeated (the same rule /escape follows, so a summons can’t double as a free way out of a fight).
  • Rica sells the scroll alongside her other scroll-type stock — see Items.
