Item locks
The bag panel has a Lock button next to Select (protocol v69). Turning it on shows a padlock on every slot in your bag and equipment, and clicking one locks that item. Turning Lock off again, switching to Select, or closing the bag leaves only the padlocks on already-locked items visible. The yellow padlock on a locked item is always clickable to start unlocking it, whether or not Lock mode is on. Lock state also shows up in the item tooltip.
If you’re holding more than one of the same item, the padlock only affects the slot or stack you click, not the whole quantity. Turning Lock mode on cancels any batch-drop selection you had going.
Unlocking needs a typed confirmation
Section titled “Unlocking needs a typed confirmation”Clicking the padlock on a locked item opens a dialog listing the item’s name, enchant level and quantity, and asks you to type UNLOCK in capitals before you can press Unlock. Cancel or Esc keeps the item locked, and you’ll need to type the confirmation again next time. If the item in that slot changes while the dialog is open, the dialog closes on its own.
What locking blocks
Section titled “What locking blocks”- Single and batch drops, selling to a shop, putting the item into a player trade, and listing it on a stall are all refused by the server. For batch actions, one locked item in the batch refuses the whole request. See Player trading.
- A locked weapon can’t be picked by an enchant scroll, and locked armor is excluded from the random enchant-armor target. If nothing enchantable is left, neither the scroll nor the whetstone oil is consumed. See Enchanting.
- An item already on the trade table or listed on a stall has to be pulled back before you can change its lock, and both trades and stall sales re-check locks again at the moment they finalize.
What locking doesn’t block
Section titled “What locking doesn’t block”- Equipping, unequipping, and normal use all work as usual.
- Using a locked scroll or whetstone oil itself isn’t blocked — the lock only protects the item a scroll or oil would act on, not the consumable being used.
Locks travel with the item
Section titled “Locks travel with the item”- Locks are preserved when you deposit into or withdraw from a storage chest.
- Two stacks with different lock states won’t merge.
- Locks survive reconnecting. Items that existed before protocol v69 shipped start unlocked.
Ground transfer audit log
Section titled “Ground transfer audit log”The server logs successful single and batch drops and pickups of ordinary items to an
item_audit record (failed requests leave no record; coin pouches keep their existing pickup
log). Each entry records the character, item type and enchant, the actual quantity moved, the
drop/pickup location and floor, and who dropped it. This log is for operators auditing the
game — there’s no in-game UI for it.
